Lessons Learned.

So here it is. The elephant in the room. The heart of the matter. The truth of the thing.

Seven years since meeting. Six years since dating. Five years since marrying. Moments of life both beautiful and ugly. Time heals. Time reveals. Life is short. Life is long. We can point fingers. Hold hands. Place blame. Take responsibility. Forgive. But don't forget. Bury the hatchet. Try. Try. Try again. Smile for real. Smile for show. Be a team. Tell my side. Tell your side. Take sides.

But the elephant in the room. The heart of the matter. The truth of the thing.

Sometimes things cannot be fixed. Sometimes things cannot go back to how they used to be. Sometimes things have to get really bleak and you have to make decisions that you never in a million years thought you would make. Ever.

And so choose. Choose yourself. Steel yourself for the onslaught. The judgment. The questions. The pity. You don't need pity. Because YOU chose.

But the elephant in the room. The heart of the matter. The truth of the thing.

There is joy in being two.
There is pain in being half.
There is hope in being one.

Hope in the chance to try again. Hope in the strength of your own two feet. Your own two hands. Your thoughts. Your dreams. Your goals. Your values. Your beliefs.

Relearn.

Relive.

Revive.
