We Have Arrived!

Finally.

After months of planning, weeks of packing, and days of driving, we have finally arrived in Miles City to start our new jobs, remodel our new house, and begin our new lives as Montana-ians.

We had an unfortunate accident with our camera the day we arrived. For the time being, I can only post pictures of packing up the UIR house and the drive up here. But never fear! I'll get some pictures of the house as soon as possible!

Mom, Dad, Linda, and Dwayne came to Tucson on Thursday to help us get everything packed and cleaned. Thank goodness we had already done most of the packing. Its amazing how much stuff we've accumulated in our 3 years of living together. Especially amazing - how many cowboy hats we have!We had the largest UHaul available for the move...by the time we got all of our stuff packed into it, we may have been overweight. Here is a picture of Ryan and Dwayne trying to figure out how to get the rest of our stuff in. We decided to purchase the materials we needed to build a privacy fence for our dogs. The nearest Lowe's is in Billings, about 1 1/2 hours away, and we just thought hauling the materials 1500 miles from Tucson would be a much better idea.
On Saturday morning, Linda, Dwayne, Ryan, Dad and I plus Ellie, Tanner, and Bitsy (Linda's dog) loaded up in the UHaul and Rav4 to start our trip. Mom couldn't come with us because she was still in school, but I am posting a picture of her on moving day anyway so she doesn't feel left out.
The trip was uneventful, which I guess is a good thing when one is trying to move all of their earthly possessions from the Mexican to the Canadian border...

There was mostly sleeping...

Eating...
Enjoying the lovely scenery...
And posing at road signs...
Keep watching for updates on the house!
